웨이드는 디지털 IP 엔터테인먼트기업 IPX(옛 라인프렌즈)가 지난 2022년 선보인 버추얼 캐릭터 IP(지식재산권)다.

IPX의 웨이드캐릭터 공개 이후, 스튜디오 이온은 자체 개발한 실시간 버추얼 프로덕션(RVP∙Realtime VirtualProduction) 기술이 적용된 웨이드의 DJ 믹스 영상과 인터뷰 영상 등 각종 브랜드캠페인 영상을 제작하고 있다. 특히 캐릭터와 소품, 배경까지 100% Full 3D CG로 제작된 웨이드 DJ 믹싱 영상을 매주30분 분량으로 제작하면서, 제작 기간을 혁신적으로 단축한것은 물론 작품의 퀄리티 역시 대폭 향상시켰다는 것이 IPX 담당자들의 평가다.

스튜디오 이온은 이러한 기술력을 토대로 지난해 9월에 선보인 웨이드의 ‘자각몽(LUCIDDREAMING)’ 테마의 성수동 팝업 ‘WADESIDE LUCID DREAMING in Seoul’에서공개된 영상 콘텐츠로도 큰 호평을 받았다. 웨이드의 손가락 움직임부터 표정 변화, 몸짓까지 디테일한 표현을 비롯해 실사에 가까운 배경 그래픽 퀄리티로 수준 높은 완성도를 선보이면서, 100% 언리얼 엔진(3D 비디오게임 소프트웨어)을 활용한 FULL 3D CG 기술로 영상 효과를 극대화했다는 게업계의 평가다.

스튜디오 이온의 언리얼 엔진기반 FULL 3D CG 제작 기술은 이미 업계에서는 정평이 나있다.해당 기술력을 인정받아 2021년에는 에픽게임즈로부터 메가그랜트 상을 수상하기도 했다.

(Studio EON = 2024/05/13) Studio EON (CEO Kang Dae-il), a high-end full 3D animation company, is leading a successful brand collaboration with digital artist 'WADE' with overwhelming video quality based on its self-developed real-time virtual production technology.

WADE is a virtual character IP (intellectual property) introduced in 2022 by digital IP entertainment company IPX (formerly Line Friends).

Since the unveiling of WADE's character on IPX, Studio EON has been producing various brand campaign videos, such as WADE's DJ mix video and interview video, using its own Realtime Virtual Production (RVP) technology. In particular, IPX officials say that the production of 30 minutes of DJ WADE's mixing video, which was produced with 100% full 3D CG including characters, props, and backgrounds, not only innovatively shortened the production period but also greatly improved the quality of the work.

Based on this technology, Studio EON received great acclaim for its video content released at WADE's 'LUCID DREAMING' pop-up 'WADESIDE LUCID DREAMING in Seoul' in Seongsu-dong, which was released in September last year. WADE's finger movements, facial expressions, and gestures are detailed, as well as the background graphics quality that is close to reality, while maximizing the video effects with FULL 3D CG technology using 100% Unreal Engine (3D video game software).

Studio EON's Unreal Engine-based FULL 3D CG production technology is already well-known in the industry. In recognition of its technology, it received a Mega Grant Award from Epic Games in 2021.

Studio EON will continue to focus on creating brand campaign content, such as WADE's DJ mix video and Seongsu-dong pop-up video, while also collaborating on WADE's worldview and character story development.
